So far:

I am  119 pages in of the 383 total number of pages. The book has my attention from page 1 - I could not imagine if the shoes were on my feet how I would handle it. Yes, I am being very vague - don't want to give away the story.

Considering this is the genre thriller/mystery - I expect there to be plots twists and turns throughout. The basis of the story is Ellen, a journalist has adopted a sickly baby, Will. After having him for sometime she suspects there was foul play in his adoption and she begins to research. Aside from being fearful of losing her job as there are cutbacks at her paper. She begins to unravel a mystery surrounding the adoption of Will, his birth parents and the attorney involved with his adoption. Not to go unnoticed, Karen (attorney) has expired by her own hand - which seems to be oddly out of place considering she was Catholic. 

Wonder if I should post a spoiler alert - seems I am giving away a lit of this story - more to come with the final draft, I am sure that I will be adding to the list of characters - and the will mention the twists and turns...can't wait to post more!!

Final Thoughts:
I don't have stars to offer, but if I did I would give it 3 out of 5. I liked the storyline, would I recommend it, maybe - it depends on what a reader is looking for. If you are looking for a book mainly about addiction and drug use/abuse you will not get it here. The book also focus' on working through AA, NA,  and Nurses for Nurses - I found this to be interesting as well (but a little tedious and technical)

After an extensive search I was not able to locate a review on the web.

I am approximately 81 pages into it - so far so good! 

What I know so far - 

Main Character - Pat, Patty, Patricia; she is a drug addicted nurse. Has a family, a sick father, a demanding job, her marriage is strained and she is struggling to be superwoman and keep it all together. The book so far is centered on her specifically. She is confronted by Drug Control about the theft/missing quantities of the drug Stadol.

So this book took me much longer to finish then it normally takes me to read a book, guess that goes without saying I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I thought I would. Oh well at the time the budget fit the book - 0.99 from itunes.

My final thoughts: Eh..it was long, way too long for only 133 pages and really did not hold my interest. The book felt like it was a run on sentence.

Would I recommend it to anyone: No

So here it is about 40 minutes later and I am correcting my post....guess that is a lesson learned - no posting blogs from the Ipad, and not before coffee!! 

Items in red is the updated, editted, corrected, version. So far I am approx 36 pages in of the 133. It is ok so far - I picked this book because I love love love to read! And I especially like to read about addictions, weird quirk I know... 

This much I know so far:
Main character: Adrian (More about his attributes in my final review)
His Immortilized: Veronica - she has died it may or may not have been his fault (they were high on PCP)
His Mother: Also an addict, took off when he was in high school, has also passed on
Character named: John (I believe he may have been a step father at one point) a drug user and dealer.

Am I doing this correctly? What exactly are you supposed to do? Are you even allowed to write a review in your blog....Guess I should include the type of book, author, etc...will make that part of my final review. 

That being said - I'm off to handle my BIZZNESS (yes I am fully aware I spelled that the way I did)
